This is a circular and undulating walk of about 6-7 miles.  There are a few steep, short climbs mainly along paths and lanes but also across a couple of fields.  We also walk a section of the Macclesfield canal, passing a couple of old mills and with lovely views throughout.

New members and well behaved dogs are welcome and walkers should bring a packed lunch and a drink although the Poachers Inn is just over halfway round.

Meet at the start of the walk on Kerridge Road (SK10 5TA) at 11 a.m.

Directions to the start:  Leave Macclesfield on the B5470 (signposted to Whaley Bridge) and Kerridge Road is on the left at Higher Hurdsfield.  Turn down Keridge Road and right at the junction where the road is wide enough just before or after the junction to park on the verge.

If walkers wish to car share, walkers could meet in the car park at Hartford Hall Hotel at 10.10 a.m. but because it is a bank holiday weekend, cars should be left in nearby streets rather than in the hotel car park,

If walkers wish to car share, meet at Hartford Hall Hotel at 9.30 a.m. but cars should be left on side roads rather than in the Hotel car park.

Otherwise walkers should meet at 10.45 a.m. at the old quarry car park in Wildboarclough 200m north of the Crag Inn, Macclesfield, SK11 0BD  but if there is not enough room, we can park at the Crag Inn if we have a drink there after the walk.
