Walks Programme for 2020

Denise Davies is our walks co-ordinator (telephone 01606 41251 or 07932 150516).

Jean Pritchett publishes advance information about walks that are being arranged in the Northwich Guardian and on the website (telephone 01606 76055 or email zpritchett@aol.com).

Our walking season for 2020 ended with the last organised walk on 1st November  but if anyone wishes to arrange a walk during the winter season please give information to John Freeman and Jean Pritchett so that members can be notified if appropriate.

During lockdown the Government and The Ramblers Association confirmed that organised outdoor physical activity events were EXEMPT from the new restrictions on social gatherings known as the rule of six that were implemented in England from 14th September and that were updated with the three tier system on 14th October.

Group walks were therefore allowed to go ahead as long as the walks were pre-arranged and organised by a recognised activity group and led by a responsible leader and all walkers must walk sensibly and observe social distancing.

Therefore John Freeman has maintained a diary of the walks held, the individual leaders and the routes followed and all members attending were also individually shown on the track and trace records.
